Art e Gallery Gozo – The gallery has acquired a very good reputation since its opening just four years ago. Many locals and foreign artists of renown have exhibited their works in this gallery. Moreover, the gallery has supported upcoming artists by providing them with space to show their works. The gallery is situated at 1, Library Street, Victoria (next to St. Augustine Square). The Farmhouse Gallery -The Art of Blues: The narrow streets of iż-Żebbuġ hide this gem of a private art gallery tucked away in a traditional 350-year-old Gozitan village house. Norbert Francis Attard: started as a self-taught painter and graphic artist before turning to installation art in 1998. He graduated in Architecture from the University of Malta in 1977, practicing the profession as architect for twenty years until 1996. He is a founding member of stART (2002) – a group of Maltese contemporary artists; a committee member of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (2002-2005) and currently director of GOZOcontemporary since 2001 – an art space, offering self-directed residencies to international and local artists, on the island of Gozo. George Scicluna born in Victoria, Gozo. At the age of fifteen George won 2nd prize in a competition organised by UNESCO. In 1995 George won first prize in a National Youth Art competition and in 1996 he obtained first prize in a competition organised by the Brussels based Demo – Christian foundation Robert Schumann.   • Rebecca Grima born in 1967 in Victoria, Gozo,Malta. Self taught, she took up painting and sculpture in her teens.Her style is modern-figurative. The themes interpreted in her art are invariably psychological and based on interpretations of human emotions, relationships and situations.   • Denis Mompalao hails from Victoria Gozo, has a great capacity of creativity in expressing his sensitivity while observing the world around him. Mompalao can be enlisted as a classical artist, with a rich gift of reproducing art masterpieces of famous artists, including Caravaggio, Tiepolo, Rembrandt, and others. However, this does not exclude his capacity of creativity in expressing his sensitivity while observing the surrounding environemnt.   • Vince Caruana (b.1979) is best known for the overlaying of geometric planes and the prominence of colour in his contemporary works. Recognised for his crispy, clean paintings, reminiscent of Cubists’, the artist’s fascination with creating light adds another dimension to his works.
