Three Works and A Script
curated by Sara Dolfi Agostini
31.01.2019 – 23.03.2019
The exhibition presents a selection of her key artworks along with a work in progress, originally presented at Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven in 2016 and now intended to be produced in Malta over the current year.
Rossella Biscotti explores modern society reclaiming moments in our present or recent history which unveil the relation between individuals and the power structures that interfere with their identity and freedom. In more than ten years of artistic practice, she has sourced expertise from a wide spectrum of disciplines including law, science, engineering and economics.
The show will be accompanied by a free illustrated publication with an essay by the curator, visuals from the exhibition and more insights about the artworks.
Blitz will continue its pursuit of internationalisation and interdisciplinary dialogue by presenting a series of curated exhibitions of established international artists whose works have never been exhibited in Malta before.
This new direction reflects Blitz’s dynamic and experimental identity, and its firm commitment to Malta’s artistic community at a crucial time when an accelerated development of the institutional ecosystem is encouraging a quest for greater international integration and dialogue.
Blitz is supported by Arts Council Malta through a Cultural Partnership Agreement.
